Volunteer of the Year: Monica Crowe
Monica has been a NSGFA board member for a number of years. For the last few years, she has served simultaneously as registrar and concession volunteer coordinator, working tirelessly to ensure the concession is always properly staffed and chearfully responding to a multitude of registration questions. This year, in additional to a new NSGFA registration system and process, Monica had to deal with a new electronic registration system and requirements that were rushed out by Softball BC and caused many headaches and countless additional hours to meet a strict June 15 deadline. Thanks to Monica everything was done on time. Way to go Monica!

Sara Mikkelsen (Stars '03 coach) coached the NSGFA 2004 Mighty Stars U10 all-star team in the Richmond Super Mites tournament on the weekend of June 14 & 15. Along with crazy weather (it rained steadily most of Saturday and was nice Sunday) the girls had a great experience. Unfortunately Sara couldn't make the team photo on June 21, as she was playing in a women's fastpitch tournament. Everyone was too wet for a photo in Richmond. Shown are 8 of the 12 Mighty Stars players and their assistant coach.
